Doesn't health come first?

Doesn’t health come first?

Health! When we talk about our life and our existence, the first practical thing that comes to mind is health. You must have been hearing this phrase since an era; ‘Health comes first”. But is this enough? Just saying this randomly or believing in it is really enough?

No, it isn’t enough to just talk about it. We need to bring this phrase into action. And by action, I don’t mean anything wild; haha! You might be wondering if it is to be something major but no, it’s also not that. You simply have to adapt a few very simple and easy habits, yet include them as a part of your everyday routine. That’s it. You may ask now that is it possible to take proper care of our health in today’s fast-running life. You also must be thinking about how can it be so easy to take care of one’s health in today’s busy life when everybody around stays so engrossed in their day-to-day work routine. Some say that they don’t get much time to keep themselves fit because of their workload. Whereas some of them say when they get time apart from their daily schedule, they become so tired from a hectic working day that they don’t feel like doing anything else to maintain heath rather than sitting idly at home. Here you’re getting me wrong.

Notwithstanding the situation of most people, I have a few tips to share with you that can be implemented while living your every day life routine. You don’t have to take any load of putting extra effort to apply these methods. These are five easy habits must be followed: -

1. Avoid eating food from outside and begin eating more of home food. Have healthy and delicious food items that takes less time to prepare. E.g., green vegetables, soups, fruits and fresh juices, Durham wheat pasta, dry fruits, etc. Must include fruits in your daily diet especially in breakfast and lunch as it provides fiber and vitamins to your body.

2. Intake of one glass of water every day before and after bath. It helps well in blood circulation. Have at least 7-8 glasses of water within a day during each break you take from your work to keep yourself hydrated.

3. Try to spend your free time by taking a walk on your terrace or in nearby lanes or in gardens to have some fresh air rather than sitting in front of any screen such as T.V., Mobile phones, Laptops, Tabs, etc.

4. “Early to bed, early to rise”. This old principle is still applicable in life to keep oneself healthy and fit. Follow a proper schedule to sleep at night and wake up in the morning. 8 hours of sleep is ought to be taken for a healthy mind.

5. If you’re the one who sits in the chair in your office working the entire day, you must regularly exercise in the morning prior to leave for the office. 1 hour is even enough for exercising to keep oneself fit. Regular exercise also helps you to concentrate well on your work.
